The Stars are going out:
It's the year 2008, Summer is fast approaching and there is a heat wave across England and the whole world threatened with depleting its natural reserves of water.
People are disappearing from all the continents, sometimes reappearing in other countries where they seem lost or confused. As Torchwood investigates this "natural" phenomena, an old friend arrives at Cardiff with devastating news for Captain Jack Harkness and Earth.
Rose stared at Jack and cleared her throat. The shock from seeing her was still on his face and she knew that she couldn't really explain much more than what she'd been set there to do. She waited a few minutes for him to be able to gather his thoughts and process this.
Jack... he's gone.... I was never to come back here, but I was sent back because of those Apollonians... Do you know them? A race... a full galaxy filled with shapeshifters and soul snatchers, all intent in expanding their boundaries. All intent in killing to get what they want.
She looked away and closed her eyes. The pain on her side was still bothering her but she wasn't there to be taken care of, she was there to take care of the world.
We must find the Doctor, Jack... You... need to help me find him.
